It does not happen very often where you have a chance to photograph the same family twice in 16 years. The kids have kids of their own, hair has gotten a bit greyer for some. It was Mum’s 90th, and everyone collected in the same spot as 16 years earlier, and the larger task at hand was to corral the eight little ones, and convince them this was important. I’m not sure we succeeded on that front, but the adults were patient with the little ones and with me, and cooperated as much as the weather did, on this fabulous October day. I believe they have much to be grateful for, despite the years having brought some difficulties. I was very happy and honoured to be a part of their celebrations.
