Industrial photo shoots are never boring.  One has the opportunity to see what incredible things are happening in those dreary-looking buildings on the outskirts of any city. Often they do incredibly complex processes, almost perfectly, all day, every work day. I never frown on a person who comes from work in dirty overalls- they may be doing things as complex as brain surgery! And they offer me the challenge of taking those things that can appear messy, dirty and disorganized, and turn them into photos that hopefully communicate something about what magic they do all day, every day.  Here they […]

Even Oscar the dog was a pleasure to work with.  They all sat on a big tree stump which had been cut down just weeks before in the park near their home.   And within a matter of days of this photo the city came and took it away.  I guess a fallen tree stump is not “safe”, and no lawyer worth their law degree could possibly sign off on the safety of a naturally-occurring object.  But it was great place to pose a family or a group, with lots of different surfaces to sit or lean on.  Clearly the […]

Vito is an Executive Director of International Sales for a very well-known hotel chain.  He is a bonafide “Big Shot”. In this digital world, a photo will be the way you are introduced to many new people and opportunities.   Be it through Linked In, Twitter, Facebook, or a website, it’s your first chance to make a good impression.  It represents you 24/7 and adds fuel to your qualifications.  Was yours taken on a phone, or with a webcam??  Or is it a photo from your last vacation?  What does it say about you and your capabilities?

Emma does cutting-edge research on human food digestion, and how it affects many aspects of our health and well-being.  That’s all I know, I’m sure she would explain it far better.   She has been featured in television programs, and magazines world-wide, but what I think of when I hear her name, is how much fun it is to work with her and her people.  She is as pleasant as can be, and there is lots of laughing throughout a photo shoot.   I look forward to working with her, or just running into her again.
