I had the pleasure of covering the Premier’s Summit on Agri-Food, where one of our most important resources- our food- was being discussed and goals were being set. Events like this are very interesting. A big upside is I don’t need to carry much lighting equipment, set it up and direct the people in the photos, as in many of the photos I do. I just need to anticipate the right time and place, with the right lens, spare batteries., and pay attention!!! They are very social, and you realize that even “important” people are regular people, and I enjoy the interaction with them. And you can’t be afraid of asking them to do what you need them to do. And one more thing I like about them- they feed you rather well- I always like that part of my job.
